Nick Stanelis, I'm freaking out over my transplant !

Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2008 9:09:07 PM
I'm freaking out over my transplant! I had a transplant done 14 years ago at 21. At age 25 these transplanted hairs began fallen out notably on the crown of my scalp where I had undergone transplantation. Presently I am 35 with an entire bald spot again and encountering more hair thinning. Is this hair transplantation functioning or occurring in a natural way or abnormal? I'm freaking out!

Sincerely,

Nick Stanelis

Hi,
hair transplant can never be the permanent solution for hair loss problem. hair loss is also related with the bad condition of scalp so you should try some treatment for your scalp so that it could hold your hairs and help to grow new hairs. Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo is one of the best solution for scalp problems. This shampoo is a good treatment for dry, itchy and red scalp and treats it to help current hairs and growing of new hairs.

I have to agree with david. There must be a problem with your scalp. You need to have it checked.

Nike, Im your age man. I had the same procedure done about 5 years ago, mine are staying in just fine. I think it might be a scalp problem. Also what type of procedure did you have done. On mine, they took the hairs, my hairs, from the back of my scalpe. These hairs are geneticaly pre programmed to never ever fall out. Thats why my procedure worked. I might also check with what ever company you had do your hair and speak with them about it.

I would like to correct Trevor. I have read in a newspaper article that the "hair follicle" and not hair on the top of the head is replaced by the hair follicle of back. This is more common in men because of the male hormone testosterone. More the amount of testosterone more will be hair fall.Though I am not an hair expert I have read articles on the newspaper and on the internet and felt like sharing with everyone. Thanks

It sounds like a scalp problem to me as well. Did you recently change your diet or life-style habits. Sometimes these things can be cleared up with a good vitamin regiment, in my opinion. Don't ignore your natural bodily rhythms.
