Vaccine to Quit smoking

NicVAX is a nicotine conjugate vaccine intended to reduce or eliminate physical addiction to nicotine. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, NicVAX can potentially be used to inoculate against addiction.This proprietary vaccine is being developed by Nabi Biopharmaceuticals with the aid of the University of Houston–Clear Lake and University of Minnesota. NicVAX consists of the hapten 3'-aminomethylnicotine which has been conjugated (attached) to Pseudomonas aeruginosa exoprotein A.

NicVAX is still under development; it completed phase IIB of testing between October 2006 and May 2007, but has not yet undergone phase III testing. Nabi issued a press release in May 2007 indicating that phase IIB testing was a success, with a large number of test subjects having abstained during the trial period.

I guess this will help many chain smokers to w=quit smoking. rather fully depending on this i would also suggest smokers to stop smoking through some regular behaviors. Stopping smoking naturally is an easy health solution for the smokers
