Frustrations can cause stress. Many people nowadays have lots of expectations that they end up getting frustrated if such expectations were not attained. Together with these expectations are never-ending wants and desires among humans. People should learn to take steps one at a time in order to achieve what they want and to minimize cases of failures and frustrations.

I think the number one reason for stress is our lifestyle. Lead a healthy, balanced lifestyle and exercise and lower your stress.

Some great answers here on what causes stress, most of which are true. But what is probably most important is not to let the stress affect you or get to you. This is easier said than done in many cases, but really, since stress is a reality no matter what we do (there is even good stress or happy stress), we have to learn to ride the tide and de-stress.

Having a healthy balanced diet or leading a healthy lifestyle (I think this was previously mentioned) can reduce stress. Eat or drink a lot of fruit and vegetables each day, and you are likely to find that you are less stressed. This is because these foods provide the body with the right vitamins, nutrients, and energy that it needs to get through most hurdles... therefore making any day less stressful (as compared to one void of these foods)

So if you haven't been eating fruit and vegetables and suffer from stress. Try eating these everyday, and eating a lot! But they won't do it all for you. You need to address the stressors too!
