Nail Fungus Treatments Continued...

Posted: Monday, October 17, 2011 4:56:30 PM

I wasn't able to post this response to the original thread that Fabiene started, so I'm starting a new one as I think this information is valuable to many people such as myself and I would like to share it.

I have suffered from nail fungus all of my life. Growing up in a harsh, cold environment, my feet were always enclosed in thick socks and boots – a very friendly environment for fungus to grow. 10 years after the first realization that I had a fungus problem, I am finally attempting to correct the issue.

I did some reading on the antifungal properties of Tea Tree Oil and decided to give it a shot. I can tell you, I am 25 years old, have never attempted to treat this problem before in my life, and within the first week I could see a drastic difference in the appearance of my nails and the comfort between my toes. In regards to the “itch,” I also thoroughly apply the oil between my toes and sometimes I just put a coating over my entire foot if I’m having a particularly itchy week.

They say the recommended treatment plan with Tea Tree Oil is a twice-daily application (morning and night) directly to the cleaned site for six months to see results – but I saw an esthetic difference before that.

I have been using a 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil by Tea Tree Therapy which I found in my local organic store. You can also find it at just about any online drug store (and probably for much cheaper I’d assume).

I hope this information was helpful, good luck!
