onycholysis

Posted: Friday, August 22, 2008 9:11:06 AM
I thought I had toe fungus, and have gone to the Dr. He has given me some medicine but it is not doing the trick. I have been reading a lot of websites. I actually think I have something called onycholysis. My toenail is coming loose from the nailbed. It does not hurt and is not discolored like the fungus pictures. The only thing I have read is to cut the toenail off down to where it is coming loose. Is this a good thing to do? The Dr did that when I was in his office prior to the medicine and it has grown out and seems like it is worse than before. Is there something natural I can do that will help this out. I have not worn nail polish in 4 months. Thanks Barbara
