Kinoki foot pads supposedly detoxify your body if you wear them on your feet while you sleep. Although the pads turn a dark brown or black, that is no proof that they are actually detoxifying your body. This product is clearly a scam. The pads contain vinegar and are likely turning that color due to a chemical reaction with sweat.

The product's website is full of testimonials from people claiming that the pads can detoxify your internal organs, cleansing your body of microscopic parasites, radiation, heavy metals, metabolic waste, chemicals, mucous, toxins and cellulite. However, there is absolutely no research to support these wild claims.

While the benefits touted by using Kinoki foot pads sound great, this product likely has no health benefits, other than a possible placebo effect if you actually believe that it is working. You are better off watching what you eat, drinking spring water, avoiding recreational drugs, refraining from alcohol abuse, not smoking, exercising regularly and not exercising heavily outdoors when the air is polluted.

If you try to live a clean lifestyle, this will go a long way to avoiding the buildup of toxins in your body. Don't waste your money on Kinoki foot pads. The only thing that it will cleanse is your wallet of cash.

Hi All, I have only used the pads for 2 nights, I am commenting on my first blog due to the nonsense I had to get through to get here. By the way, folks like Richard who say all we need to do to rid ourselves of toxins is to lead a clean life and our bodies will take care of the toxins....this site, respectfully, should be dedicated to those who have tried, intend to try, or are have an interest in using detox pads, of which there are many brands, as those of us with problems don't need the hassle...that being said, I would make a few comments to clear up matters and will probably have to come back to tell my "story" due to limited space. 1 Wet the pads and they will turn dark, try other chemicals or household products, brown sugar, for instance. 2 My feet did not sweat with the pads, but they turned dark. 3 Someone stated toxins couldn't come through the feet, if so blood would seep through our feet as well...DUH!! Think of it this way: Pain patches work by applying on the skin no matter where your pain is located just as the detox pads don't have to be placed on the feet. Nicotine patches release nicotine through the skin and works in the brain....Birth control patches are a reliable method of birth control...the truth is none of us really know the complexities of the human body. For my "STORY" and to make a point...I am disabled due to fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, IBS, RLS, sleep disorders, I've been awake for the past 2 days and nights, (as well as unrefreshed sleep when I do sleep) and multiple food allergies and/or intolerances and digestive problems. I am in constant pain despite pain PATCHES and tablets. Fibromyalgia causes widespread pain..neck, shoulders, back, and legs, primarily, however, I am sore to the touch over most of my body which is all further complicated with fatigue and the repercussions of lack of sleep. People with fibromyalgia also do not enter the deep level of sleep, REM sleep, ever....(again we know little of what happens in our bodies during sleep), however...through scientific studies, it is known that the body repairs itself during sleep. By not getting REM sleep, our muscles do not get repaired as others...imagine the pain in a bad case of flu or from becoming sore from an activity such as skiing using muscles you haven't used in a while...and magnify it times 10 and that is what fibromyalgia with accompanied sleep disorders and a host of other health problems is like. When receiving a therapeutic massage, the therapist can tell the most painful muscles and fibrous tissues and actually massages to release the TOXINS that have built up in your muscles. (No, you can't find them in a blood test.) I have read about the different chemicals/products/minerals in the detox patches....type kinoki.com in your browser and it pulls up a competitors patches. It identifies these products. In conclusion, and further brevity, I don't claim to know about detoxification of metals, etc.., but I do feel there are some therapeutic benefits for those who have health problems, and, despite being told how foolish we are, one learns when in pain, that the minute cost a few detox patches, is well worth the cost if it can alleviate the least miniscule of our health problems. We may just need to find a more reputable company and hope for a forum in which others' biased, ignorant, sarcastic opinions don't cause us even more pain or worse yet, persuade a fellow sufferer (who may truly benefit fom a product) that it is not worth investigating as it is just an inconceivable, STUPID idea that a few MORONS want to spend their money on because they are so BRILLIANT??? I say try it, there's nothing to lose except a few dollars and to me it's a small price to pay for something so simple that has the potential of making a huge difference in your daily life. Just might feel like taking a vacation or visiting a long lost friend after days, months, even years of pain, fatigue and numerous health problems due to TOXINS.... Thanks, Cyndi

I do not think KIOKI is a scam it just that it works for some people and not others. Depending on your level of toxicity and sensitivity will determine how sucessful it is for you. I can say that it does work and it has helped me tremendously and given me back my life. I work and go to school and I was so fatigued and had so many body pains and aches I could barely walk across my Bedroom. Now I can exercise and walk three blocks without resting. THANK YOU KINOKI FOR THIS WONDERFUL PRODUCT !!! Remeber that the product is very inexpensive compared to most drugs and has 0 side effects. If all of you doubters tried it you would find that it does work in many cases !!!

Thank You and God Bless !!

People keep mentioning that to detoxify your body properly you should do a colon cleanse with various different products which will cos you $100 for 3 months supply. I have done plenty of them and yes they all worked amazingly...however, you can also go to your local drugstore and pick up a container of Konsyl 100% Physillium Husk for $15 and you will achieve exactly the same results! And if you really want to detoxify, pick up a juicer for the $100 and do a 3 day juice fast!

The first time I tried them, I thought they worked. The second time, I barely got any discoloration on one pad and the other stayed completely white! A little over a month later I assumed I had built up toxins and tried them. No discoloration at a11! The pads stay completely white. No discoloration at all. Why aren't I getting any reaction at all from them??? How long does it take for your system to build up toxins and is it normal that all your toxins are removed in one or two wearings? I am really dissatisfied with these pads.

Please help me. I tried Kinoki one time 2 months ago with my mother & every since that day we have both suffered severe pain in the same area that the pads were on (bottom of feet). I suffer horrible pains at the bottom of my feet if I stand for 5-10 minutes. My life has drastically changed. I am unable to go walking like before, shopping = excurciating pain, I even had to cancel my job application at the post office because I knew I could not perform the duties required. I don't know how to make the pain go away - I'm reduced to tears daily because it hurts. It literally feels like I have walked 10 miles with a large rock in my shoe between my heel & the arch. I don't know what to do......any advice? My mom is suffering similar problems but with only one foot.
