I really would like to know, why would anyone do a colon cleanse? I have lived over 45 years without ever doing this, I see no reason why I should.

HI. I am on my second box of Colonix. During the first box, I had results within three days, I felt better and really thought it was working, but I couldn't sleep. For the first time in a year I was able to eat without almost instant diarrea. I felt I needed a second box, I have been having a headache with this one, and I am again sluggish. But, I have slipped back on my water. I do like the products, though. I have felt better over all. I do need to double up on my water

In answer to so many of the questions about Colonix here's the scoop...My husband and I have been using it for about 2 years now. The first time we did the cleanse we both had wonderful results; no headaches, 5+ pound weight loss, much easier and more frequent bowl movements, less bloating etc... This year I began another cleanse and I did get the headaches. They do warn you that if you don't follow the directions this may happen and I did have to go off of it due to the flu and that can also cause negative reactions. Once you start to flush toxins out of your body you really shouldn't stop two weeks into it because it causes the stomach to...well, for lack of a better word, freak out...and it messes up the good and bad bacteria in your belly. Yes, we do have both in case you didnt' know.

I think the headaches are in direct correlation to how toxic your system is. Mine is PRETTY darn toxic! I have suffered...and I MEAN SUFFERED...from chronic constipation for most of my life. It effects every aspect of my health. I am a worst case scenario of negative symptoms from having a toxic colon. I am a total sugar addict, have chronic acne, constant bloating, strong food cravings, chronic constipation, severe lethargy, severe allergies, chronic isomnia, etc... I found the products from Dr. Natura to be beneficial despite any minor negative side effects. The good has outweighed the bad for me.

The Colonix from Dr. Natura comes in a box with three items. Colonix fiber powder (which is an awesome fiber supplement), The Paranil which are pills to kill off parasites, and the Klera Tea which is a tea you drink before bed to help aid in sleep and it has an herbal laxative effect. The Paranil is a little tough to take if you are somebody who burps a lot because it is very herbal tasting. The colonix fiber does a really good job and as for the Klera Tea...despite my hatred for tea of any kind...I do drink the Kleri Tea frequently because it does help "move things along" in the bowels. I will warn you though to be conscious of how long you leave the tea bag in the water...leaving it in more than 5 minutes MAY cause some MINOR stomach cramps in the morning for about 20 minutes, but you will have a nice easy bowel movement once the cramps subside. For those of us who are truely constipated we can tough out any amount of cramps so long as we get to poop at the end of it all! :0) You know who you are!

I think overall the Colonix system did a good job for me. I never saw any parasites in my stool...THANK GOD...but it did a wonderful job of helping me have smoother and more frequent bowel movements and helped greatly with the bloating.

I would imagine I am well overdue now for another cleanse and was interested in this Bowltrol that everybody keeps mentioning. If it does just as well as the Colonix and is cheaper I may just give it a shot.

The bottom line is this...the key to any cleanse is sticking with it and drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water per day. If you don't flush out the toxins you are going to feel lethargic, unfocused, bloated, more constipated, and get headaches. So, if you are going to cleanse just be prepared to commit to it. I would also strongly suggest lots of walking as this aids in digestion. If you decide to begin cleansing and begin having stomach cramps and difficulty digesting try lying on your right side and putting a heating pad (or Therma Care pack from WalMart) on your belly...and do 20-30 minutes of walking!!! I can't stress walking enough. This is ESPECIALLY important to those who are dealing with bloating and constipation.

Anyway I hope this information helps and hope you all begin feeling better soon...I feel your pain man!!!

To you folk who get head-aches when doing colon cleanses - The herbals are not just working on the colon but also on the LIVER!!!! When the liver is 'annoyed' 'disrupted' 'very toxic' one may experience lite to severe head-aches, nausea, diahrea -A symptoms of a flue-like nature and is a perfectly normal response to cleansing. Even the ionic foot cleanse may cause some of these symptoms as it 'cleans the liver'. So don't blame the product. It just might be that you have a very TOXIC liver and it is being cleansed.

The headaches do come from detoxification. When you purge caffines and processed sugars from your system you will get crushing headaches. It can be worse if you use artificial sweetners. Normally the headaches last for 72 hours unless you continue to take caffines and sugars into your system. The reason people are having headaches for 2 to 3 weeks is because it is taking their body that long to get ahead of their toxin intake. If you just stop taking the stuff in, it will end in about 3 days maybe 4 if you have a history mountain dews, energy drinks, donuts, candy or are a coffee junkie. For some reason teas and honeys are ok and don't mess with the body. Hope this helps

I just joined this forum and I would like to know if anybody knows of a food detox that works. I don't like to take powders and pills with herbs and roots. I want to eat. A friend of mine told me about a quart of water with some ginger and honey and cayenne plus two more quarts of water per day and you eat normally the rest of the day. But that doesn't sound like a detox. It sounds more like a healthy start.

I work for a company called Arbonne and they just came out with a detox line -- internal and external. Now the external products are fabulous. I use them every day and you can feel the crap coming out of your pores and hair and you can see a difference from the first application. But I tried the internal detox and it probably will work just as well, but it tasted so bad I couldn't drink it. I gagged on it. That's why I'm looking for something palatable. All the things I see here are expensive and I don't want to buy them just to find out they are so disguisting tasting that I can't use them and I'm out all that money. The Arbonne stuff was only $40.

I would not trust everything the FDA says they kill more people with the approved "drugs" than not.. herbs have been used for 1000's of years and the experts dont know alot about them. I take natural remides all the time. Just see what your body reacts too. Most of the doctors I know are unheathy and just pump out the new "fix it all pill" most of the time anyway.. gl all
