Does Breast Actives Work?

Posted: Wednesday, July 25, 2007 1:53:00 PM

I've been looking at some reviews about Breast Actives and I am pretty impressed by what some of the ladies are saying.

I'm still not really sure and I have to ask the question, does Breast Actives Work?

I really hope that some of the PublicHealthForums.com members can help me out with this one.

Lisa.

UPDATE
Nicole Posted a great guide to using Breast Actives: http://www.publichealthforums.com/f-91-guide-to-using-breast-actives.html

UPDATE 2: January 12, 2008
The ladies have convinced me to show my before and after pictures . I've thought about it long and the best way to do send my pictures to you by email that way there aren't thousands of eyes looking at them. PublicHealthForums has been nice enough to allow you to contact them and they will forward all of your requests. Select "Other" as the department, enter your name, email address & state that you would like to see Lisa's before and after pictures in the comments box.

Janie! I really hope you check back soon to read the contents of my post...I read what you posted and am very concerned! Like you I am also of Asian descent and do understand what you said about the communication difficulties with your parents. 7 Years ago my younger sister experienced a menstrual period that lasted 3 weeks. We (her sisters, there are 8 of us) found out about it during one of our mini-reunions when we all meet up for a nice dinner out. She passed out in the restaurant shortly after we were seated. After she was rushed to the emergency room we were told she had fainted from the blood loss! Several days later we finally got an answer from all the tests they ran on her. Asian females are genetically more susceptible to a very rare condition called Turner's Syndrome. Now, I'm not saying that this is the cause of your similar issue but to find out for sure you musr request that the blood test be done...due to its extremely rare status its not something doctors/clinics/hospitals test for. This is what my sister was diagnosed with and among many other symptoms the cessation of ova production is one. After her last 'real' egg-producing menstruation her ovaries failed to produce another egg or ova...permanently. Although her body was still producing hormones at a normal rate, which prompted her body to menstruate the next month. The problem was her body could not detect the expulsion of her egg (because the ovaries did neither produce nor inform her body that there was a problem). Essentially her uterine wall continued to push her menstrual blood and would have continually if she had not passed out that day. Turner's Syndrome is so rare that there is no current treatment, neither surgical nor perscriptive. As a result of that day my sister had to have an emergency and complete hystorectomy...at the age of 19 years. I hope this info is helpful and that you scheduled and made that doctors appointment. A parting note, if you don't try to make your parents understand they never will. I have spent too many hours of my life trying to explain mine why I have done certain things. The more time you commit to reasoning and explaning, the sooner they will start to see...or at the very least, to Accept!!! Its very hard...but you MUST remember to leave frustration and anger at the door. I will check back soon to see if you've been here to see this!

I ran accross a website NBEclub.com a while back and found a lot of useful info about breasts issues. This site also has reviews of some of the products out there and cautioned the readers about some of the "false" website, set up to claim that their product is the best. The website also rated some breast enhancement productst and did not have very favorable marks for Breast Actives, but based on all the I found on the internet which rated Breast Actives #1, I did not know what to believe. There's so much on the internet these days, it is just so hard to decipher and determine what's true and what's not. I decided to go with Breast Actives anyway. Since I have not had the results I'm looking for with BA, I decided to go back to the site and see what product they rated best. It was Natureday. So I finally visisted Natureday.com yesterday and was surprised by the number to testionals out there. If you're interested in pictures, they have them some along with the testionals. I just wanted to throw it out there to y'all out there who may not be quite happy with the results you've gotten. The problem with Natureday is that I have not run accross any independent ratings of the product, just testimonials on Natureday website, so I'm still skeptical.

I don't want to discourage those that are new BA users. I know that BA works, just at different rate for different people and it does take time. As I said before, I did have some growth (maybe 1/2 cup). So give it a chance to work for you. I just wanted to share some of the sites with those who, like me, are at the home stretch.

Danirenee, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. I know its extremely hard, especially the waiting. I did a lot of waiting when my grandpa was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and we were very close as well. Cancer has afflicted many members of my family. Advice concerning something like this is difficult to give, simply because nothing makes it easier. You will always have hope, while my family grieved I felt like I had to make peace and bring happiness, so instead of crying I laughed and enjoyed what time there was left. Don't give up hope, and know that a smile will always be better than tears as far as your mom is concerned. Let her know you care, but don't condemn her before her time. Be strong for her so that she has someone to lean on if need be, and someone to tell her it will be ok. Help her be positive; all the better to heal. =) Good health to you and your family!

Hi Yun, wow. thanks for the concern. Now I'm getting a little scared. I actually went to see an advice nurse on wednesday who initially prescribed me the birth control pills. I was thinking about going to see the doctor but I just settled for seeing the nurse so i could ask her to change my pills. The nurse told me that it's a little too early for me to change my pills and kept telling me to stick with the pills that I have right now because if she increases the dosage, it'll be a 50 mg one which is only for certain people who need certain medical attention. Anyways, so I decided to give my sprintec pills another try and since the nurse told me she had to check me for pregnancy and anemia, I did the testings. Fortunately, I don't have anemia and I'm not pregnant either. And yesterday I stopped bleeding!! YAY! (Oh, and I actually showed the nurse the BreastActives pills and I don't think she was really understanding of me. I kinda regretted that I did because I was just so embarrassed to show it to her but I did because I thought it was important and she wasn't that understanding of me.)
But I'm still concerned about the Turner's Syndrome issue. Would I have to go to the doctor and get a blood test done? Was your sister on the pills? Or did she just start bleeding abnormally for three weeks? the nurses keep telling me that it's the birth control pills and that is what i thought so too. Anyway, I hope you reply back to me soon!
Oh! And since you're on the forum, i'm assuming you're taking BreastActives as well? lol how long have you been taking this for? have you seen any results?
