Does anyone know a weight loss strategy???

Posted: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 3:10:04 AM
Hi, I am 23 years old and have been gaining on pounds and this is getting to me. The thing is that after several efforts of exercise and dieting, I don’t seem to get any slimmer! There are many ways to lose weight, but I have exhausted all the ways I know. I have consulted a few people but all of them have been telling me the same thing. It isn’t helping me and only making my fears worse.

Is there some way to make me feel better!!!

Look I know this is going to sound strange, but it sounds like you havent lost the weight because you not sure if what your doing is going to work. You need to get a mind set of complete confidence in that what your doing is going to work. Never doubt for a minute that your running swimming, weight lifting, whatever it is will to make you thinner. The mind plays a huge role in how we control our bodies, trust me I lost 60 pounds by doing this. I also found excersises that i enjoyed, in my case I swam 30 laps in the pool everyday, and ate food that I liked that I knew was also good for me. I also never doubted for a minute that it wouldnt work. Believe in yourself!

Walk and Talk more to lose weight. Walking is the form of the exercise that done regularly for just about 10 minutes can help you to lose unwanted fats in the body. Eat fresh fruits for the breakfast rather than feasting on meals that are rich in proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

You need to stay away from the intake of the meat, eggs, pizzas, and burgers in excessive amount

Hi! I want to share something. It took me more than a year to finally reached my ideal weight. I was 180lbs before and now I am 110lbs. If only I am not working, maybe I can get full time with my workout just like the one we see in reality shows. With budgeted time, however, it took me a while to finally see the results. Just be patient and continue on your workouts and diet...you will see the results sooner. But if you are really in a hurry, aren't you considering some medical procedures such as liposuction and tummy tuck ops?

Have you been eating the right amount and the right kind of food? Sometimes failing to lose weight even with regular exercise is caused by wrong diet.

I think a proper diet will really get you into shape. Discipline is also a very big factor to make you follow a good diet plan. Since you are young, do lots of activity and burn those calories. If it doesn't work, then I think you have the wrong diet. Learn more about alkaline foods. Fruits and vegetables are really alkaline. Just consume those. No meat for a month doesn't hurt your health. Alkaline foods have non-acidic pH levels (of course).

Hello Mickey. I just joined this forum here and saw your post. How is it going with your weight loss? Your post is dated May 2008 - over two years ago but, I do have friends who are still complaining about their overweight after many years. Mind you, I did observe they do not apply themselves to any discipline either with the right diet and/or the routine(s) - as many people wrote you here. True: Right food intake plus exercise will help. Unfortunately it takes a bit more help to get rid of the bad fat. Have you ever saw a "small" person with cellulite? Bad fat. And that is one big factor for lack of energy and other symptoms. To answer your question, I do have something that not only get rid of the bad fat but will give you more stamina, more energy. Let me know. :-)
