Acne Health Center

Acne, or zits, heal slowly and it always seems that as soon as one lesion begins to resolve another one shows up. Hormones are the most likely culprit in the development of acne, making the condition most common for teenagers. People of all ages however, can get acne. Some adult women get acne due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, due to their menstrual cycles or because of starting/stopping use of birth control pills. Acne can cause emotional distress and lead to scarring of the skin. There are effective treatments available and early treatment is better because it lowers your risk of lasting physical and emotional damage.
