Age Spots Health Center

Also known as liver spots or solar lentigines, age spots are flat gray, brown or black spots that vary in size and most often appear on face, hands, shoulders and arms, in other words the areas most exposed to sun. They most commonly affect adults over 40, but they can also affect younger people. Age spots are harmless and do not need treatment, but for cosmetic reasons they can be lightened with skin bleaching products, or even removed. Preventing age spots however, by avoiding the sun and using sunscreen, may be the easiest way to keep your skins youthful appearance and avoid the age spots all together.
