Complications From Allergies

Those with allergies have an increased risk of certain medical problems such as:

Anaphylaxis - a serious allergy-induced reaction most commonly associated with food allergy and allergy to insect venom

Another allergy - having one type of allergy increases the risk of becoming allergic to something else

Asthma - people with allergies are more likely to have asthma, an immune system reaction that affects the airways and breathing.

Atopic dermatitis (eczema), sinusitis, and infections of ears and lungs - pet allergy, hay fever, or a mold allergy increase the risk of developing these conditions

Fungal infection of sinuses or lungs - Those allergic to mold are at an increased risk of developing these conditions
