Aphasia Health Center

Aphasia is a condition where a person loses their ability to communicate. It can affect the persons ability to express and understand language, both verbal and written. The severity of the disability depends on the location and severity of the brain damage causing it. Though aphasia typically occurs suddenly, after a stroke or head injury, it can also come on gradually from a slowly growing brain tumor or a degenerative disease.
