Breast Cysts Health Center

Breast cysts are fluid filled sacs within the breast. There can be one or many cysts, which are often described as round or oval lumps with distinct edges. Breast cysts are common in women in their 30s and 40s, and they usually disappear after menopause. In most cases breast cysts do not require treatment, but large and painful cysts, or cysts which are otherwise uncomfortable, can be drained in order to ease the symptoms.
