Bronchitis Health Center

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes which carry air to and from the lungs, and can be either acute or chronic. It is a common condition which often develops from a cold or other respiratory condition. Chronic bronchitis, a more serious condition, is a constant irritation or inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, often because of smoking. Acute bronchitis typically improves within a few days without lasting effects, but the cough may continue for weeks.
