Cellulitis Health Center

Cellulitis is a common, potentially serious bacterial skin infection which appears as a swollen red area of skin that feels hot and tender, and may spread rapidly. Though it most commonly affects the skin on lower legs, it can occur anywhere on the body or face, and may only affect the skin's surface, or it could also affect tissues underlying the skin and can spread to lymph nodes and bloodstream.
