Cervicitis Health Center

Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix, the lower, narrow end of the uterus which opens into the vagina. Most cases of cervicitis are asymptomatic (no symptoms) and are usually of little consequence. In some cases however, cervicitis is caused by infection with sexually transmitted diseases, including chlamydia and gonorrhea. A successful treatment of cervicitis can involve addressing the cause of the inflammation.
