Dermatographia Health Center

Dermatographia is a condition in which light scratching of the skin causes raised, red lines where it was scratched. It is not serious, but can be uncomfortable. In dermatographia, the skin cells are overly sensitive to minor injury, like scratching or pressing on the skin. Symptoms of dermatographia include redness, itching and swelling similar to hives.
