Week 28

You:

By week 28, you should definitely be seeing your doctor every 2 weeks. You should work out a labor plan with your doctor, and think about whether you want a natural child birth or you want to use pain killers. If you have a different type of blood from your baby, you'll need a Rhogam shot. Colostrum may be leaking from your breasts. Starting around now, you may get heartburn, constipation, varicose veins, loss of bladder control, swelling and itchy skin.

Your baby:

Baby is putting on a little fat now, and muscle tissue is increasing too. Baby's eyes are now fully developed. The lungs may be able to breath outside the womb now, but baby would need lots of assistance. Hair on the head, as well as eye lashes and eyebrows are now more visible.
