Wellness-What Does It Mean For You?

Wellness is described as the state of good physical and mental health, maintained by sensible diet, proper exercise, and healthy living habits. It is an act of bringing body and soul to the highest and healthiest level. Wellness is not just an absence of pain or illness. It is the profusion of vitality and all round eagerness to enjoy life. It is characterized by a clear, consistent and a high level of energy; desire to maintain physical fitness; sharp mind; emotional balance as well as a direct responsiveness to enhance health.

Whether it is big or small, everyone has a target, dream, and goal. If you are not well, you cant reach your target or accomplish your goals or dreams. Your unhealthy condition only leads you at risk to infections, pain, dangerous diseases, mental depression and emotional imbalance. As a result, you wont be capable to meet your target, attain goals, fulfill responsibilities and face challenges. Wellness consists of the resistance to infectious medical conditions and protection from the diseases such as cancer and heart problems.

There are many aspects that affect the wellness of a person.

Family

Whether it is a joint or nuclear family, a number of problems are developed in the family connecting parents, ex-spouses, stepchildren, and other members. We can experience feelings of guilt, anger, and frustration. All these issues direct you to heart conditions, stress related illnesses, cancers, etc. Those who have partners or family members to share problems with are less possible to catch sick and get well more rapidly than those without.

Friends

Within every individual, there lies the desire for love, the wish for community and fellowship and the aspiration to be part of a group. Not just in any group; it is a group of like minded people - individuals who have comparable values that we admire. Similar to family, for those who have strong relationships with others are less likely to get sick and get well faster.

Faith

A disagreement between the way of life and our beliefs creates dissatisfaction and uneasiness that can affect both emotional and physical wellbeing.

Fitness

Our bodies have been made to live in integrity, harmony, and balance. There are various types of fitness to maintain our lives in balance. Physical fitness is particularly significant, but so are mental, nutritional, emotional, spiritual and environmental fitness.

Finance

Money and finances can mean security, love, power or freedom. It has an effect on the economic lives and health. Financial concerns bring stress and pressure, which can affect your health.

Fun

A sense of humor; sympathy with others; and acceptance of their opinions show high self esteem and a strong sense of worth. It maintains people living longer; and allows them have a lot more fun while they are living. It oxygenates the blood; improves circulation and respirations; inhibits stress related hormones in the brain and activates the immune system. Stress and negative attitudes can lead to elevated heart rate, hypertension, hormonal imbalances and headaches. Fun and humor are powerful remedies for stress.
