Facial Exercises to Improve the Appearance of Skin

Friday, December 11, 2009

Facial exercises can help to reduce the signs of aging in skin. For facial exercises to work, you need to do them every day and they don't work overnight so you need to be patient. The good news is it only takes about ten minutes a day.

Before beginning facial exercises, make sure to moisturize the face with oil. The first exercise is for the skin around the eyes. Close your eye half way and hold that position for a second. Do fifty of these every day.

The next exercise is for mouth muscles. Place your fingers in the corners of the mouth and stretch about a quarter of an inch.

You can improve the tone of your neck muscles by tilting your head back about twenty five degrees. While doing this, press your tongue against the top of your mouth. Then tilt your chin down keeping your tongue in the same position. Do this about 25 times.

While facial exercises can't work miracles, they can certainly help to improve the appearance of your skin and reduce the signs of aging.
