Green Leafy Vegetables Reduce Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes

Monday, August 23, 2010

A recent study says that green leafy vegetables appear to dramatically reduce risk of developing type 2 diabetes, more than vegetables and fruits generally.

By daily consumption of an extra serving of foods such as spinach, cabbage and brocolly, you can cut the threat by 14% according to a study by British researches published in British Medical Journal.

While the data does not suggest a hard and fast link as those eating such vegetabls are expected to adhere to a healthier diet and are likelier to exercise regularly, it is however clear that these vegetables have a key role and warrant further study.
