Idol Winner Overdoses On Sleep Aids

American Idol season 3 winner was recently hospitalized after taking too much aspirin and sleep aid medications in an apparent suicide attempt.

Her father and her manager issued a press statement saying that the singer is already on the road to recovery and that her injuries are not life threatening.  She was dehydrated and exhausted all the time, and was under a lot of stress due to a recent revelation about an alledged affair with a married man.
