Swine Flu
What You Need to Know to Stay Healthy
The Swine Flu (H1N1) which was originally transmitted from pigs to humans is now transmitted between humans and has been spreading like wildfire, threatening to leave millions of dead in its wake. An influenza like the Swine Flu can be catastrophic and endanger your life if you don't take steps to protect yourself. For example, the Spanish Flu which occurred just after the end of World War I killed more people than the war itself. Now you may be thinking "that was almost 100 years ago, and it could never happen in our modern day and age". If that's what you think, then you need to get out of that mindset.
The fact is, it could happen again. Scientists are concerned that the Swine Flu could mutate into an even more deadly pandemic, potentially wiping out a third or more of the world's population. You need to take steps now to ensure that you increase your odds of surviving the increasing likelihood of a global pandemic.
What can you do to prevent getting the Swine Flu or another deadly flu?
- Avoid traveling to areas where there are clusters of the flu and it is spreading rapidly
- Wash your hands frequently
- Avoid touching public surfaces such as doors, ATM buttons and pens as much as possible
- Avoid crowded areas
- Avoid shaking hands as much as possible
- Carry hand sanitizer and use it often
- Clean all produce thoroughly
- Make sure all food utensils and containers are sanitized
- Avoid contact or getting close to anyone with flu or cold symptoms
The initial symptoms of the Swine Flu resemble a normal cold or flu. If you develop these symptoms, see your doctor immediately to be on the safe side. It's better to be safe than sorry. For additional protection, you should avoid smoking, drinking alcohol or using recreational drugs, get enough sleep and exercise, and eat a well balanced diet. This will ensure your immune system is at its strongest. You can also use anti viral herbs that may help to prevent viruses, including: Elderberry, Scullcap, Propolis, Astragalus, Isatis, Goldthread, St. John's Wort, Licorice, Zinc and Dosage. Aminos can also help to prevent the flu. If you take these protective measures, then you should be able to survive most pandemics.
