Teeth Whitening Products

Which ones get the best results?

With people starting to realize that whitening your teeth can make a huge improvement in your appearance, teeth whitening products have exploded in popularity. However, not all teeth whitening products are created equal. Some of the most popular ones aren't actually very effective, while some lesser known products can be just as effective as having your teeth whitened at a dentist, but at a fraction of the cost.

If you want to avoid the cost of making regular trips to the dentist for a teeth bleaching, or laser whitening treatment, you have several options available. The teeth whitening products fall into several categories: gums, pastes, trays and strips.

The problem with the whitening gum is that you have to chew it almost constantly for several weeks on end. If the results were excellent, then it might be worth it, but the results pale in comparison to what you get at the dentist. Many people don't like the taste of the gum either, so this is probably the worst way to whiten your teeth.

A teeth whitening paste is easy to use, since you most likely brush your teeth daily anyway (twice a day is recommended). Unfortunately, it takes a long time to work, usually several months, and the results are not very impressive. They are about comparable with the results from the whitening gum. In other words, nowhere near the results you get with a dentist.

Another approach is to use teeth whitening trays which can actually get decent results, but still not as good as a dentist. You put gel in them, and wear them on your teeth for a prescribed amount of time. These are an improvement over the gum and the pastes, and can typically get your teeth about 3 shades whiter. Unfortunately, they are very messy and inconvenient to lose. A lot of people simply don't like having to wear a tray in their mouth.

Whitening strips are yet another alternative to the dentist, and you can actually get good results, but again not the excellent results you get from a dentist. These can also take a few weeks to work, and can irritate the gums. They are not for everyone, but many people have enjoyed success with them.

The last option available is a unique product called AltaWhite that uses a swab based system. Users report this is much easier, less time consuming and less messy than trays or strips. They also work very rapidly, in just a few days. Best of all, the results are actually comparable to those you get a dentist. This makes AltaWhite stand out from the other teeth whitening products on the market. This is probably your best choice if you're after that perfect pearly white smile, but if for some reason it doesn't work for you, you can always try trays or strips. AltaWhite is exclusively available directly from the company, through the following website:
